Building on the original vision of the CMP-PUJEN Art and Culture Foundation to promote the art of everyday life, CMP INSPIRATION embraces imagination as the core of innovation.
Through creative interpretation and interdisciplinary integration, it opens new realms of imagination for all.
Designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, this is his first cultural venue in Taiwan. Inspired by the concept of “lifting the earth,” the architecture integrates the curling arabesque motif to strengthen the connection between CMP INSPIRATION and the surrounding neighborhood. Inside, the flowing and translucent qualities of the structure are extended, with intersecting spatial curves creating a unique, mountain-like experience.
Known for conveying warmth and emotional resonance through design, the architect transforms CMP INSPIRATION’s spirit of “breaking boundaries and challenging all possibilities” into a visual language of clean lines, simplicity, and intentional blank space. Inviting public participation to fill the space with creativity, the museum fully embodies its mission to "open up imagination."
Through cross-disciplinary design that brings beauty to everyday life, ten iconic masterpieces—including The Thinker, Statue of Liberty, The Scream, and The Gleaners—are reinterpreted with humor and transformed into public furniture. This playful approach invites the public to interact, unknowingly becoming part of the artwork itself—immersed in a world of imagination and wonder.
The “fuyue” collection blends Eastern and Western influences, using linear elements and pleating techniques to reflect the natural texture of CMP INSPIRATION’s architecture through uniform design. With meticulous attention to detail, the garments express a refined sense of design while emphasizing structural simplicity and graceful movement. Crafted from pure cotton and textured, unembellished fabrics, the clothing embodies a quiet vitality—humble yet full of life.
