PROJECT
Block Museum
A cultural stage for shaping an ideal life, with the city block as its canvas.
Block Museum is a long-term art initiative set in Taichung’s CMP Greenway neighborhood, jointly curated by CMP Group and the CMP Pujen Foundation for Arts and Culture. By integrating cross-disciplinary artistic creations with community placemaking, the project is dedicated to shaping an ideal cultural field for everyday life.
The Satoyama 12 Public Art Project is a twelve-year initiative. “Satoyama” refers to the harmonious coexistence of people and nature, while “12” takes inspiration from the twelve Chinese zodiac signs. Since 2020, original Taiwanese interdisciplinary artists have been invited to create site-specific installations along the CMP Greenway, reinterpreting Taiwan’s native species and land-friendly practices. Through the transformative power of creative aesthetics, the project conveys a vision of shared prosperity between the land, art, and humanity—everlasting and regenerative.
As part of the Block Co-Creation Project, in 2022 artist Shun-Lung Lin presented Mu (Bathing), an installation inspired by the Tree of Life, symbolizing the cultural ecosystem nurtured by the interplay of art, humanity, and nature along the Greenway. In 2025, the latest work The Rhythm of a Strolling Note, created by Chih-Hung Chuang (Living Form Studio), invites people to move freely to its rhythm, experiencing the energy of art seamlessly woven into daily life.
