The visual identity of the CMP INSPIRATION was designed by the Taiwanese design studio- Biagust Creation Office. The striking use of white space at the center of the logo acts as a catalyst for creativity, immediately engaging the audience’s imagination.
Design directors Owen and Cloud, drawing from the museum’s years of curatorial practices that break boundaries and emphasize interactivity, incorporated the ‘opening imagination’ concept, which defines the new generation of cultural spaces. The logo embodies the spirit that ‘imagination is more important than knowledge’, aiming to ignite the curiosity of the public the moment they encounter it. The designer incorporated white space into the central part of the CMP INSPIRATION’s font outline, reflecting the museum’s departure from conventional norms and emphasizing the spirit of imagination.
The reinterpretation of the Chinese characters into geometric shapes symbolizes ‘the courage to realize imagination.’ When the public encounters the logo, they are invited to ponder and explore on the evolution of the characters and imagery. This interactive process turns into an enjoyable, thought-provoking experience.
